What is Teams ?

A 'team' is a group of 4 to 7 Christian married couples who meet, together with a chaplain, on a monthly basis for a shared meal, prayer, discussion and mutual support.

The Transatlantic Super Region covers the English-speaking parts of Africa, Europe and the Caribbean and currently supports teams in Great Britain, Ireland, Trinidad & Tobago, South Africa, Malawi and Zambia. New teams are currently piloting in Ghana.

Teams began in France in 1938., when 4 Parisian couples asked their parish priest, Father Henri Caffarel, if  he could help them develop their spiritual life as couples. He replied, “Let Us Journey Together”.

The Movement has since spread to over 90 countries worldwide and there are now more than 12,000 teams. Click here for more details, and a brief history of Teams.

Teams are grouped together in Regions, and Super-Regions, who organise Gatherings and Retreats and other events.
